5th grade students worked hard to sell apples for a good cause this fall. Now they're taking the last $500 in their bank account and challenging the entire school to raise money to send to the Red Cross and its relief efforts in Haiti. 5th graders have included themselves in the challenge, and will also work to raise more money for this cause.
Each grade is responsible for raising $500 by Friday, January 22nd. Students in each classroom have thought of creative ways to raise the cash, from selling home made crafts and cookies to raffling off "Colter Kids Hats," knitted by art teacher June Nystrom.
Check with your student to see what their classroom is doing to meet their goal! Please contact any teacher for more information about the challenge to help Haiti.
